Land Bank Home Repair Program
The Allegany County Land Bank Corporation Home Repair Program provides grants of up to $40,000 to eligible Allegany County homeowners for critical home repairs. Funding may be used to address health and safety concerns, structural deficiencies, and essential building systems, helping residents remain safely in their homes while preserving Allegany County’s existing housing stock.
Interested homeowners should begin by completing the Request for Application below. Applicants who appear to meet initial program requirements will be invited to complete a full application. Program funding is limited, and assistance is not guaranteed.
How to Apply
☐ 1. Review the Program Requirements
Make sure you are an Allegany County homeowner and believe you may qualify for assistance.
☐ 2. Complete a Request for Application
Start by submitting our short Request for Application. You do not need to complete the full application yet.
☐ 3. Wait for ACLBC to Review Your Request
We will review your information to determine whether you appear to meet the initial program requirements.
☐ 4. Complete the Full Application
If you pass the initial screening, ACLBC will send you a full application and a list of required documents.
☐ 5. Submit Your Application & Documents
Return the completed application along with the requested income, ownership, insurance, tax, and other documentation.
☐ 6. Eligibility & Project Review
ACLBC will verify eligibility and evaluate your requested home repairs. Eligible applicants will be prioritized based on program criteria and available funding.
☐ 7. Watch for Your Decision
ACLBC will notify you of your application status and whether your property has been selected to move forward.
